Bike4Life is our most recent site to go live!
Bike4Life is a 'ride-out' festival that was set up to raise money for Midlands Air Ambulance. The festival has grown over recent years and is becoming increasingly popular.
The previous Bike4Life site, which was created two years ago, was heavily restricted from a management point of view and could not be amended by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity staff. It was, in effect, set up without a properly functioning Content Management System. Therefore, Astute Media designed and created a new website using the CMS platform Umbraco. This allows the staff to update their own content without needing to rely on a web agency.
The former site was mostly aimed at bikers, it was dark, with a grungy feel. Since the launch of the festival, there has been a marketplace shift in terms of who the event is aimed at and those attending. Discussing with MAAC, we saw that the site needed to be more family-friendly and image led. We have created a site that is now easy to use, one that is now lighter and friendlier.
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is happy with the new site and added "James and the team at Astute Media have been fantastic from start to finish on this project and, as always, we enjoyed working with them.
There were a few last minute changes, but the team made our project a top priority, ensuring we delivered this very important asset. We are pleased with the functionality and flexibility it now gives us. Overall, we are very impressed with the website - it is a great credit to Astute Media. Thank you."
